RESORT TRANSFERS

Your room rate includes all of your taxes and fees. Your round-trip resort transfers are also included in your room rates as long as you provide us with your flight details by April 18, 2023.  This gives the transportation company enough time to arrange staffing and vehicles for the entire group.

FLIGHTS

The airport you need when booking flights is Cancun International Airport, airport code CUN.  We recommend that you book your flights as early as you can. You may book on your favorite airline. Consider using miles or credit card points if you have them.  Our agency is not able to assist with bookings that involve loyalty miles or credit card points.

If you would like to book your room and air together, we would be happy to assist. Simply email ds@enexromancetravel.com with your preferences for airlines, flight times and number of connections. Please be advised that the airline payment portion is due in full at the time of booking your flights. Please be prepared with your payment upon requesting a quote.

And please don’t forget to provide us with your flight information no later than April 18, 2023 so that we can arrange your included resort transfers.

The Meet-Cute

It’s possible that they first crossed paths at Takoma Park Recreation Center where they both loved to play and swim as children. Was it destined? Sounds like the perfect plot for a “love story”, but in this movie you’ll have to skip forward to a Christmas party in 2018 where Kamelah, born in New Jersey, and Roderick born in Washington DC, first remember meeting.

The First Date

Roderick made an impression, earning him that first date at Bukom Café in Adams Morgan! Clearly that was a brilliant choice because they discovered how much they both had in common, especially trying new foods and dancing to live music. The couple continues to dance, hike, travel, play games, try new things and work out together. They added to their bond by selecting and picking up their puppy, Bruno, together. “Pup Pup Bruno” continues to bring them joy on long walks together.

The Growing Relationship

There are so many memorable moments for these two. From the feeling you get when you know you’re with the right person, when it seems like Anita Baker is singing specifically about your love, and Nas is telling you “The World is Yours”. From that very first time Roderick learned to ski with Kamelah by his side, the memories keep growing and multiplying. The couple continues to bond over the shared value of family and spending time with family. Every day they notice the little things and discover more to love about each another. Roderick enjoys teasing Kam about always being on Pinterest. Kamelah teases Roderick about his adventurous homemade recipes. And they both know that when Kamelah convinces Roderick to go shopping with her to just get “one” thing… they’ll be going to multiple stores!

The Proposal

Kamelah’s passion for life and compassion for others brought Roderick down on one knee to propose.

On Saturday November 13, 2021 Roderick took Kamelah on a brunch cruise on the Spirit of Washington. In true Kamelah style, she had a ball! Unaware of what Roderick had in store for her, Kamelah spent the afternoon eating, drinking, and of course dancing! After a fun-filled and tiring afternoon, Roderick told Kamelah, that he made plans for dinner at 7pm. Still tired from the afternoon, Kamelah begged Roderick to cancel the dinner plans and just order “pizza instead”. Following quite a bit of persuasion, Kamelah agreed to fight through the tiredness and go to dinner. She didn’t understand “why” they had to go back out … “The plot thickens …”

Roderick had made dinner reservations at Bourbon Steak, in the Four Season Hotel in Georgetown. Prior to arriving for dinner, Roderick took Kamelah for a stroll along the Georgetown Waterfront, where he proposed. Roderick’s resilient spirit, caring and patient demeanor is part of the reason she said “Yes!” The couple went to dinner, and later celebrated the proposal with one last surprise. A few close friends and family were waiting at the W Hotel to toast the engagement!

The Wedding
