Icelandic Music and Storytelling

Hanna Mia is a musician and student at the music department of the Icelandic Academy of the Arts in Reykjavik. Apart from her composition work she has been a tour guide for several years and is now working full time telling folk stories and playing folk music to visitors to Iceland.

She will tell stories and perform folk songs related to the Icelandic tales. She will also open up the space for questions about Iceland, its people, culture and all in between.

After seven years of tour guiding she’s become a specialist in taking her guests on a journey through the Icelandic history, its stories about ghosts, elves and the peculiar local traditions.
