RESORT TRANSFERS

Your room rate includes all hotel taxes and fees. Your round-trip resort transfers are also included in your room rates as long as you provide us with your flight details by September 25, 2023. This gives the transportation company enough time to arrange staffing and vehicles for the entire group.

FLIGHTS

The airport you need when booking flights is Punta Cana International Airport, airport code PUJ.  We recommend that you book your flights as early as you can. You may book on your favorite airline. Consider using miles or credit card points if you have them.  Our agency is not able to assist with bookings that involve loyalty miles or credit card points.

If you would like to book your room and air together, we would be happy to assist. Simply email ds@enexromancetravel.com with your preferences for airlines, flight times and number of connections. Please be advised that the airline payment portion is due in full at the time of booking. So, please be prepared with your payment upon requesting a quote.

Destiny

Although they both grew up in the DMV (DC, MD, VA area), their paths didn’t cross until they journeyed to Georgia. Collin & Zainab each chose to study at HBCUs. Zainab went to Spelman, while Collin attended Morehouse. It was there, at the Atlanta University Center Promenade, where the two met on October 29, 2015. Zainab was enjoying some time with her friends Kalisha & Ashley when she caught Collin’s eye. Collin was on his way back from the library. The couple exchanged phone numbers. After some facetime conversations and several text messages back and forth the couple went out on their first date.

First Date

It was the typical college date. Collin had screening tickets to see CREED, and after the movie they went to dinner at Zaxby’s. Apart from one incident that Zainab describes as a little awkward– squeezing by Collin’s seat in the movie theatre to go to the restroom, she remembers feeling quite relaxed throughout the evening. “I appreciated his thoughtfulness and [him] making me feel comfortable by asking if I was okay and needed anything throughout our date,” Zainab recalls.
“I thought that this was going to be a nerve wrecking night trying to impress Zee,” Collin reflects, “but it was actually the opposite. I found it extremely easy and comforting to talk to her and thought to myself this is going the be the one.”

The Relationship

In 2017, the college sweethearts spent the summer apart because their internships found them miles from each other in Iowa and North Carolina. They kept the spark going through conversations and texts, and they arranged to meet a couple of times over the weekend. Their favorite memory in fact, is getting together again after this time apart. The two planned to see a J. Cole concert together. Collin’s planning skills shined bright on this occasion. He arranged dinner before the concert. And he left plenty of time for them to arrive at the concert venue early, stroll around together, shop for merchandise, find their seats and just enjoy each other’s company. But what shined even more brightly this night was their love for one another.

Zainab often teases Collin about looking like an adorable Teddy Graham when he wears his Uggs. She loves Collin’s “peaceful aura, thoughtfulness, and his sense of style and charming good looks.”

Collin teases Zainab about always using sauces on her food. He loves Zainab’s beauty, her outgoing nature and “how she always is able to find the good in any situation.”

The Proposal

Collin’s planning skills showed up once more over on January 16th, 2022. He planned a four-course private dinner at Eddie V’s in Tyson’s Corner. The very last course was a dessert platter with a variety of fruit and sweets and a bottle of champagne. Collin had the waiter present the platter to Zainab with a surprise. The waiter thanked them for being patrons at the restaurant and told Zainab there was a special message written on the card accompanying the platter. Much to Zee’s surprise the card read “Will you marry me?”.

The Wedding

Well clearly Zainab said “Yes!”. And now the two of them are looking forward to sharing their love for each other with all of you—their closest friends and family. They can’t wait to gather everyone together at their wedding to make some more amazing memories.
