Very few Americans ever really get to KNOW the city of Bordeaux. They stop by for a day or two, taste a few wines, see a few sights and then head off again.

But on this BORDEAUX SMALL GROUP LEARNING ESCAPE we buck the trend and really immerse ourselves in the community and the culture.

Afterall, there is no better way to learn about a people and their culture than to visit their markets, share their stories, play their games and share a meal with wine.

And there may be no better place to do this than in the city of Bordeaux!

Luxury Comforts & VIP Access

Tickets to the Sold Out Masked Ball

We will all be joining the locals at the Masked Ball in the GERARD BOIREAU SALON of Bordeaux’s exquisite GRAND of THEATRE. This "clandestine" ball is inspired by the soirees held during the Occupation, that allowed people to dance to forbidden music including American jazz and political songs. This sold out event is an amazing opportunity to dress up and learn to dance with professionals and experienced dancers of Bordeaux’s Ballet de l'Opéra.

Indulgent Amenities

The plush Hotel Burdigala with its outstanding service and excellent food and wines is popular with visiting film stars. But here even non-celebs are made to feel important. At this sophisticated hotel in an elegant 18th-century building near the shopping street, rue Ste Catherine, the rooms are stylish and decorated using rich fabrics, wood and marble.
